Hepatitis A - £50 Show 
A major risk for travellers, usually contracted from food or water contaminated with the virus. The consequence can be mild to severe liver disease which may last months.
Two doses required.
Depending on your previous immunisation status may be given on its own or combined with typhoid or Hepatitis B.
Hepatitis A & B ADULT - £65 Show 
In addition to the comments about Hepatitis A.
Anyone who is at risk of coming into contact with the blood of a Hepatitis B carrier or of having sexual contact with a carrier should be immunised.
Hepatits B is a very serious illness and can lead to long term serious liver disease and in some cases liver cancer.
Three doses, initial, one month later and at six months.

Hepatitis B ADULT - £40 Show

Hepatitis B CHILD - £25 Show 
At present only new born babies born to carrier mothers are routinely immunised against Hepatitis B. The UK is one of the few developed countries t hat has not introduced an immunisation policy for Heptitis B to be offered to all children.
Hepatitis A & Typhoid - £84 Show 
Typhoid is often given with Hepatits A (see information above). Typhoid is a condition which may be contracted from contaminated food or water and is most likely to be contracted in the ‘third world’. It is a single immunisation and is usually repeated after about three years.
Diptheria, Tetanus & Polio - £32 Show 
This is given routinely in childhood so nearly everyone will have had this. However, there may be a few people who have missed there immunisations or perhaps been brought in another country where this is not given. If this is the case please contact us and we will advise.
Cholera (oral) - £62 Show 
This immunisation is now given as an oral preparation. Cholera is a condition which gives rise to very profuse diarrhoea and if untreated can quickly result in severe dehydration.
Two doses upto six weeks apart.
Meningitis ACWY - £54 Show 
The following is an extract from the WHO website
Travellers to areas affected by meningococcal outbreaks are advised to be vaccinated. For pilgrims to the Hajj and Ramadan Omra, Saudi Arabia requires visitors obtain a Tetravalent vaccine (against A, C, Y, W135) at least ten days prior to their arrival in the country. (Ref: WHO International Travel and Health. Vaccination requirements and Health Advice).

Rabies - £43 Show 
There are many parts of the world where rabies is endemic. It is important if visting these parts of the world you are immunised BEFORE you are bitten. Once the signs and symptoms of rabies are present in humans it is invariably fatal (see WHO advice) . Rabies is mainly found in dogs but increasingly in the wild animal population including bats.
Three doses usually required.

Japanese Encephalitis - £45 Show 
JE immunisation is recommended in many parts of Asia. The following is an expert from the WHO
‘Japanese encephalitis (JE) is a disease caused by a flavivirus that affects the membranes around the brain. Most JE virus infections are mild (fever and headache) or without apparent symptoms, but approximately 1 in 200 infections results in severe disease characterized by rapid onset of high fever, headache, neck stiffness, disorientation, coma, seizures, spastic paralysis and death. The case fatality rate can be as high as 60% among those with disease symptoms; 30% of those who survive suffer from lasting damage to the central nervous system……..
………An effective killed vaccine is available for Japanese encephalitis, but it is expensive and requires one primary vaccination followed by two boosters. This is an adequate intervention for travellers……………’

Tick borne encephalitis - £63 Show 
This acute viral illness cause an inflammation of the brain. Although it is present in most European countries it is more common in certain parts of the East. It is a potentially fatal illness, certain groups travelling to or working in these endemic areas may wish to be protected from this. We would be happy to advise whether the places you are travelling to put you at special risk.

Anti malarial medication - See Info Show 
If you are travelling to a malarial area it is very highly recommended you protect yourself against malaria. You may wish to look up of
www.fitfortravel.nhs.uk to see if there is any risk you and your family. Risk may vary according to where you stay in a country and in what season you are there . To complicate matters sometimes WHO recommend different malarial prophylaxis according to local strains at the time. We can help by giving you up to date advice.
