Emergency Contraception consultation - £40 Show ![]()
Sometimes known as the ‘morning after pill’, this is in fact misleading as the pill works for up to 72 hours after intercourse has taken place. However, the earlier you take it after sex the more effective it is. It does not work if you are already pregnant and in some situations you will be advised to have a pregnancy test before taking it. It is appropriately used if there has been a failure of contraception (eg condom failure) or if contraception was not used at all. You will receive full counselling and associated advice regarding future contraception and if required advice regarding sexually transmitted disease.
Ear Care consultation - £65 Show ![]()
Many people suffer regular build up of wax in their ears which frequently feels uncomfortable and may impair hearing. If you wish to have the wax removed it helps if you can apply a few drops of Otex or olive oil in to the ear(s) for about three days before you attend. This helps soften the wax and makes the procedure more comfortable for you. The wax is usually removed using a special device that introduces a low pressure jet of water in to the ear canal.
In the event you are found to have ear wax you will be advised accordingly and if necessary referred for hearing tests or specialist opinion.
